  4. Cocktail 98 is an exciting new multimedia authoring tool that lets you 
  5. incorporate sound, photos, music, animations, text, and video into 
  6. corporate presentations or personal greetings. You can create business 
  7. presentations or customize photo albums containing voices, animation and 
  8. music for your personal enjoyment.

  10. Who said that you can't mix business with pleasure?  Fantastic as this 
  11. may seem, this isn't the description of a futuristic product, these features 
  12. are all available today in Cocktail 98!

  14. Moreover, Cocktail '98 provides an easy environment to realize 
  15. multimedia concepts for the general users who have little or limited 
  16. experience with any program, completely dismissing the idea of its 
  17. authoring tool for professionals.

  19. Even beginners can build their multimedia files. This program is so user-
  20. friendly that by simply referring to the manual and Help the beginners can 
  21. create the wonderful world of multimedia files they want, using the image, 
  22. sound and animation files built into the Cocktail '98 CD-ROM. Soon they 
  23. will find themselves having fun making cool images to adorn their e-mail 
  24. or homework. In a short period of time they will also discover that they

  30. Cocktail '98 was conceived with the idea of 'Making all files under 
  31. Cocktail '98'.It consists of 'Multimedia Studio' which can edit and run 
  32. multimedia files and 6 subsidiary programs which create image, sound, 
  33. text, and database files without any extra program.

  35. -Multimedia Studio

  37. By incorporating the various merits of many authoring tools (operating 
  38. systems) in the market, Multimedia Studio provides innovative user 
  39. interfaces for general users with extended convenience.

  41. If you click on an empty space of the screen when you start, the 
  42. Numbering Wizard shows up. In this Wizard, there are 8 different icons 
  43. according to the file format supported in Cocktail '98. Select the file type 
  44. you want and assign a corresponding file to it. In this way, if you assign 
  45. other files it will automatically show its running place and order.

  47. You can see this multimedia file by clicking the Run button in any desired 
  48. number file and change the size or position of its text and image. 
  49. Furthermore, you can change the running order or correct the source file 
  50. by clicking any other function icon.

  54. Multimedia player is charged with displaying almost all files shown in the 
  55. market. That is, it can quickly display about 60 different files including 
  56. text, image, sound and even animation files while independently operating 
  57. the Cocktail file (mmp file).

  61. The hypertext file is required if you want to create a more sophisticated 
  62. multimedia file available in the CD-ROM title. Hypertext enables you to 
  63. combine or link each different source file and display it.

  68. more than 30 kinds of image files and 100 different kinds of image 
  69. effects, screen shots and scanning. Especially, it can handle high 
  70. compression of images. For example, it provides 37,271 bytes of JPG file
  71. compressing 1,372,854 bytes of BMP file.

  75. This program enables database processing in Cocktail '98. It supports 
  76. about 20 different kinds of database files (Access MDB, dBASE DBF, 
  77. Btrieve DDF, Excel XLS, FoxPro DBF, Paradox PDX, etc.) and can easily 
  78. add or delete data. Moreover, it provides a powerful data-searching tool 
  79. using SQL.

  83. This program handles music, sound, and sound effects in Cocktail '98, 
  84. allowing you to record and play voice and Music CDs. It supports file 
  85. formats such as MID, RMI, WAV and AVI.

  90. standard word files such as RTF, TXT, HTM, etc., and with other attached
